   I wanted a blender to make smoothies. This one can barely blend a banana with ease. I am going to try and return it. If you need to chop more than one ice cube at a time, go elsewhere.

   I received this for Christmas and thought this was a high end item. After it stopped working two weeks following Christmas I didn’t have any reason to believe it was because of cost. The problem is indeed the price! The problem is the construction itself. Nothing is sturdy and it comes apart too easily after four or five cleanings. Definately not good for anything but a countertop decoration!

   The good: Makes great smoothies, sturdily built, very easy to clean.
   
   The bad: not lefty-friendly at all. The spout is a good idea, but doesn’t work well with thick drinks.
   
   You’d think manufacturers would at least make their products so they could be used easily with either hand. Heaven forbid if you broke your right arm and needed a margarita. Where would you be then?

   It’s hard to find a good, low priced blender. I think this model is worth about a half the cost. The wave motor is very powerful; I have not tried to crush ice. Don’t bang a spoon on the rim of the pitcher (to dispense ice cream, etc.). I suggested they need to add a metal rim.

   The top and lid (2 pcs.) can loosen when pouring; hold it on. And it doesn’t pour very fast. Tighten spout cover. I would have gotten the glass model, but reviews were mixed. Each material has it’s +/-. The plastic is hard, just enough, but thin all around. Cleans up fairly well in the suds; probably better for a dishwasher.

   Most folks like 4-5 stars. It’s OK, but HB can do better.

   This is a fantastic blender at a great price. It does a great job blending and making smoothies, but as an added bonus, it also makes perfect margaritas! This kills two birds with one stone because it kept me from buying one of those expensive “drink” machines.

   Recomended.
