Perfect for on the go mom. I have a 8 month old who is awesome and he just seems to love this spoon. I think it's great because I can feed him just about anywhere i.e (grocery store, mall,park) anywhere! Without having to fuss with a bowl, spoon and clean up. The deep concave design of the spoon makes is difficult, rather, impossible for her to scrape the food off of the spoon, so she only gets what lies above the spoon line. Because the spoon is so hard, she also can't gum it. <br /> <br />I also think that she is a little scared of how large the spoon is...kinda of a massive thing to put in front of a baby's face. Lastly, she loves to try to feed herself, and the Boon is simply too big for her to handle. She loves to self-feed and is very messy in the process. Based on the photos, I thought she would be strong enough to squeeze the handle herself and the smaller amounts of food wouldn't create the same sorts of mess an entire container of baby yougurt can create. She is not strong enough to squeeze the spoon and it came apart with the first use! This item was hand washed (by me). SEcuring the compontents with tape did not help.
