   I WANTED A SWING THAT FOLDED UP AND WAS EASY TO MOVE. I HAVE A 2 STORY HOUSE AND WANTED A SWING I CAN MOVE AROUND THE HOUSE EASILY. ON THE BOX IT SHOWS THAT YOU CAN “HOLD IT WITH ONE HAND” YEAH RIGHT!!!! IT DOESN’T FOLD UP AT ALL! THE LEGS JUST SNAP TOGETHER AND THE SEAT FOLDS BUT BEYOND THAT NO WAY TO HOLD EASILY WITH ONE HAND!!! I LOVE THAT IT WENT SUPER FAST BECAUSE MY 3 MONTH DAUGHTER LOVED IT, BUT I JUST HATED THAT I COULDN’T CARRY IT WITH ONE HAND. THE FISHER PRICE AQUARIUM ONE IS PERFECT! IT TAKES A MINUTE TO FOLD UP BECAUSE THE BOTTOM LEG WIERDLY FOLDS BACKWARDS BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT BECAUSE YOU CAN ACTUALLY CARRY IT AROUND WITH ONE HAND AND FIT THROUGH TIGHT SPACES WITH IT!!! IT HAS 8 SPEEDS, NOT FAST ENOUGH FOR THE GIRL SOMETIMES BUT SHE MANAGES BECAUSE IT HAS LIGHTS AND SOUNDS AND SHE WAS ALWAYS STARING AT THE SIDE OF THE OTHER SWINGS AND THE AQUARIUM ONE HAS LITTLE FISH ON THE SIDE FOR HER TO GRAB. SHE LOVES IT. GREAT BUY. WHEN KHOLS GETS IN BACK IN STOCK YOU CAN GET THE AQUARIUM ONE FOR $50 AND FREE SHIPPING. HOPE THIS HELPS!

   As I said in the title, you get what you pay for, but when you spend $60+, you do expect to get something decent. Overall, this swing is very cute. I was quite taken with the little lion’s face, and with the toucan on the bar of “toys”. What really sold me, though, was the ability to carry it one-handed as shown on the picture of the woman on the box. (Which is photo-shopped, by the way!)

   I received this for a baby shower gift. I really had my heart set on the My Little Lamb Swing, but after seeing how cute this swing was, and looking at the box, it appeared that this swing would be a very good thing to keep. And what would it hurt to have a swing on both levels of my house? This swing was to be the primary swing, because the other swing that I have is 14 years old, and from a yard sale. I was going to keep this one on the main floor of my house.

   When I assembled it and found out the swing didn’t even fold up enough to carry it with much ease, let alone one-handed (the swing has two handles). This is very disappointing. I can’t carry my baby and the swing at the same time, which is part of what makes it so appealing. My sister has the Fisher-Price full-size aquarium swing, and she can carry her son and the folded-up swing at the same time, yet I can’t even carry my TRAVEL swing and my child. It’s very disappointing.

   Next up, the music is cute and not annoying, it does change. But the swing — it is supposed to have 5 speeds. Mine seemed to have 3, and definitely needed a push to get it going. When it was on the fast speed and the slow speed, it would stop swinging for several seconds at a clip. I would go over and nudge it again to get it started. This is without my baby even being in it. Then I thought it maybe needed some weight in it, so I took some magazines, weighed them to be about 7 pounds, and tried that. The swing all but came to a stop. I even thought the batteries I bought were defective, so I even went out and bought a brand-new package of name-brand batteries! All in all, I wish that I had read some of the reviews on other sites before deciding to “keep” this swing (I am now returning it). This swing is very cute, has good music, but its swinging ability and travel ability is lackluster… which is ironic since it’s a TRAVEL SWING. It doesn’t easily do either of the things in its title!

   This swing MAY be okay for VERY occasional use at someone else’s home or something. But judging by how it doesn’t swing well, I will just be taking my new full-size swing with me when we travel. It’s just disappointing that $60 doesn’t buy you much anymore, but that’s how it goes.

   Bottom line: Keep your $60 and put it towards a real swing.

   the controls weren’t screwed up!! They’re completely backwards on mine (slow is fast; fast is slow) so when I went to use it the first time (I put it on the high speed to test it) nothing happened!! That was 6 months ago and my hubby finally figured out last night that the controls were switched. I wish I had known that 6 months ago so that my daughter could have gotten some use out of it.

   The swing speed on this item does not vary, at least not by any perceivable amount.

   It is lightweight and that makes it easier to move around the house wherever it’s needed, but it doesn’t fold up into what I would call “easily portable” size. Overall I don’t feel it was worth the 60 dollars I paid, but it does keep my twins entertained when they aren’t desperately craving parental attention.
