I expected better, but these training pants are not absorbent as expected. My daughter wakes up almost every morning with a wet pant. It leaks easily, even in the day. I take her to the bathroom every 2-3 hours. So it’s not like she wears it for a long period of time. I don’t expect leakage from her going just once in her pull ups, but it happens.
Also when I started using this, for some reason my daughter gets a really bad rash on her hip. I think because of the material of the Pull-Ups being rubbed against her, while pulling up and down. I am disappointed in Huggies for this, because I relied on Huggies diapers more than any other brands. I was looking forward for the transition from diapers to training pants, but got disappointed.
I got her potty trained without using any type of training pants, it’s actually a faster process.

Pull-ups don’t help with potty training. Your best bet is to put them in cloth training pants and just clean up their messes. They will learn faster that way. Pull-ups are just glorified diapers (and expensive to boot). I got these as part of the Unilever $50 rebate. My 2 year old daughter loves them because there are princesses on them. But I’m not really pushing potty training with her right now. Pull-ups leak faster than regular diapers which is good for potty training, but it’s not really going to help too much. She sure likes to have her diaper (pull-up) changed now. Also, you can find them less expensive in a regular store.

I’ve never had a problem with leaks, and we do pretty much use these as diapers. My daughter has been wearing them since she was one, and they’re great because it is hard to keep her still to put a diaper on. I just put her feet through and pull them up. On the other hand, while I wouldn’t say we are “potty training” we’ve been sitting her on the toilet since she was 7 months, so goes #2 in the toilet, and is pretty good about holding her urine when she sleeps and just going in the toilet when she wakes up. Of course if we’re out and about, as we are most days, she just uses the pull-up, and again, no leaks. These are better than the Pampers version because of the easy open sides. A nice option when she’s wearing pants and I don’t want to take them all the way off to change her.

My daughter either goes naked, wears cloth training pants, or just pajama bottoms when we are at home, but when we go somewhere she wears pull-ups. They are much easier to get up and down than diapers are, at least for an adult, but you don’t have to worry about her going pee on the seat at the restuaunt.
We have switched to Pampers easy-ups because my daughter likes Dora and because they do not have the annoying easy-open sides. Daycares like Pull-ups better because they do, but I think they make it harder for my daughter to put on by herself because the sides separate so easily.
