I purchased the lamp over a month ago. The lamp arrived over a week after I ordered it and it had a broken light bulb. I called the company, and they were very polite and offered to pay for the return shipping. It took a few days for them to send me the mailing label, and the shipping they do takes 7 days. Here I am over a month later, still w/ no lamp. I received an Email about 8 days ago saying they had shipped the lamp, but I still don’t have it. So, I can’t do a review on the product. But I am very disappointed w/ all the delays in getting and returning the light. This shouldn’t take over a month to be handled.

If it is the light that is the concern for tired eyes and people with mood issues, then maybe just get a full spectrum bulb, stick it in a mini lamp and either use a frosted shade or make sure the light is frosted. It may be WAY cheaper and more efficient : ) I’m all about saving money!

This product functions fine. It is used in the bathroom every morning, but it is difficult to determine after only one month of use if it actually reduces depression on overcast, cold, winter days. It will still be used every day for the rest of the winter and probably next winter too.

This lamp is actually annoying. Its just like a fluorescent light bulb. No noticeable mood change whats so ever.
Add on: 9/5/08 (within a year from purchase and only a few hours usage!)
CAUTION! Mine flickered a couple of times and then went POOF! I turned around to see what happen and there was smoke coming out of back of it!! A few days later I decided to see if it was the bulb and the light still works but now I am afraid to use it..

After a few months of debating whether or not I needed the extra light for my work space I made the great choice of purchasing the HappyLite. I’ve been using it the past few weeks and have really enjoyed how it brightens up the dark corner better than a regular lamp.
Now my only concern is how to order an extra bulb…. (guess I should read the materials it came with).
