A lot of people compare this to the Rainforest version. We have both the Rainforest and the Precious Planet. The Rainforest has better visuals, but the Precious Planet allows the child to pick the type of music. My ten month old enjoys pushing the buttons and changing the type of music. When my nephew was born, I went with the Precious Planet. Personally, you cannot go wrong with either one of them.

My now 3year old received the Rainforest soother as a baby shower gift. We also received a Baby Einstein Soother that was very nice as well but broke within the first few months and I do believe was recalled. When my now 9month old was born, the oldest was not ready to give up her bedtime/naptime friend. I saw the Precious Planet and thought that it would be the same as the Rainforest soother, yet different enough that my oldest would not be jealous. I was so disappointed that it did not play the music for 18 min with the lights and motion on. The Rainforest soother has the option to have the lights on and the music with no motion….this is the best. I so wish that FP would have followed through and made the Precious Planet soother as wonderful as the previous Rainforest Soother. I have to say that baby didn’t seem to mind the grinding noise and still seems interested in it. I am still disappointed.

Purchased for Christmas for my 6-month old grandson, and daughter-in-law says he likes watching it and she wasted her money on the mobiles she bought, which he looked at briefly, and then fixated on the Precious Planet Soother.

My baby absolutely loves this!!! It helps soothe him, entertain him, and even helps him fall asleep!!!!! Got this as a baby shower gift and I must say it was one of the best gifts he got!!!

This thing is wonderful for getting my little guy calmed down for bed. We love it. There is only one thing I would change. I wish there was a way to just turn one of the lights on because the blue “ocean” light is a little bright at 2:30 in the morning.
I would recommend this to anyone though!!
