I bought a few of these lights for photography and they work great. I can even use them with natural sunlight. The only thing is that the bulbs are gigantic, about 4 times the size and weight of a regular fluorescent bulb, so make sure you have an appropriate light fixture or lamp before you buy.

I purchased this for use in my photo studio. I was not disappointed. It casts a good balance (auto whitebalance works fine with it) with a bright light. Very well packed. Do be aware – these are BIG – and do get hot (but nothing like a 250 watt lightbulb!)

the light bulbs works great,but because of its size almost 11 inches it wiil be more apropriate in a large lamp.so it will not fit a small desk or table lamp.

I bought this bulb because I suspected I had seasonal, light-related depression. It’s hard to tell if it is the reason for sure, but I do feel better since installing it in my work room where I spend much of my time. It is a very large light, but it fits into a standard socket and extends out 9 inches from the socket. It’s 4″ in diameter. It gives off a pleasing, bright light.
