   I purchased this bulb and few weeks ago in the $4 range plus shipping. Some complained the light seemed ghostly white but I actually perceived the light to be a pleasant golden color. I don’t know maybe different people can perceive certain colors better than others. Also some complained the light did not seem too bright. Certainly this particular bulb is not equivalent of a 40 or 60 watt incandescent but it seemed somewhere in the range of 15-25 watt incandescent. I have a mud room than I don’t need too much light to get through.

   I believe as a hallway light this bulb would work just fine. How often do you read in the hallway anyway? These bulbs will also work for multiple fixture lighting like ceiling fans and vanity bathroom fixtures. I’ve put 3 LED’s in my bathroom and together they give me plenty of light. No, it’s not going to seem blinding like some people like it, but certainly an ample amount to brush ones teeth, etc.

   I’ve calculated that if one uses these but three hours a day one would not have to change the light bulb for over 27 years. For the environment, ones effort, and of course the pocket book these bulbs certainly have there uses.

   I personally believe LED’s are the wave of the future and plan to change all my bulbs to LED’s. As the technology inevitably increases we’ll find more of a range of options to fit almost any need. Good Job guys whoever made these. : )

   I’m pleasantly surprised how incandescent-like the Lights of America LED Pedant Style light appears, especially if the light is filtered through a globe or lamp shade.

   - Color
   
   The color given off by the Lights of America Pedant Style light is more of a golden-yellow, not a “soft white” (as stated in the product title). The golden-yellow color gives the light bulb an incandescent-like glow unlike that from a lot of LED’s, which tend to give off a harsh white or bluish-white light.

   - Perception
   
   The light is soft, inviting, and easy on the eyes; it doesn’t have the quality of harshness typically associated with light from an LED.

   - Brightness
   
   The light is about as bright as a 25W – 30W incandescent light bulb. It’s not quite bright enough to read under, but it serves as a perfect ambience or mood lighting. It is a very practical source of lighting whether you are using one in a single light fixture or several in a multiple light arrangement like that employed in the lighting for a bathroom sink or vanity.

   - Use with a Dimmer
   
   Unlike an incandescent light bulb, this LED light bulb can be used with a dimmer switch to increase or decrease its brightness only in discrete steps; its brightness cannot be made continuously variable.

   The Lights of America LED Pendant Light Bulb is bright enough to serve as a practical source of lighting for a variety of purposes. The light is not quite a “soft white” light as stated in the product title; rather, it is more of a golden-yellow light – if this suits your needs, I think you’ll be quite happy with this light bulb.

   These are about as bright as a 25w bulb, color is somewhat ghostly,but not as bad as some fluorescents i have seen, good for reading or a night light, don’t expect to light your rooms with these, 5 in a ceiling fan isn’t bright enough. The package says ” replaces” 40w. Don’t be fooled into thinking it means as bright as, the package doesn’t list lumens. 30 k is the color but i think they mean 3.0k The package states 30,000 hours for this bulb but also states warm white light. The other bulb made by this company is the same except for 65k which i take as 6.5k in wavelength. That one is listed as bright white light and reviews give it bluish white which i normally call ghostly white on your skin. Anyway,i guess it is good for a porch light or hallway light. They also make a 2004leddl-35k-24 which is 4.5 watts so that model should be a lot brighter, waiting for Samsclub to carry those so i can try them out.

   I had the same results as others. All 6 of the units I purchased died within two months. No help from the manufacturer.
