  1. James Hu Said,

As other reviewers have noted, (1) a stylus was promised but not delivered (I see it is no longer promised); and, (2) the elastic strap intended to hold the iPad in place does not work, as it is too small, and slips off.

For my case, the iPad sits quite snugly, and I have no worries about the iPad slipping out. However, I did install a back protector film on my iPad. Also, I have a large microfiber cleaning cloth tucked behind the iPad in the case. These may be helping to keep the iPad in place.

The cut out seems mostly fine. It perhaps covers the right edge a little too much, making it hard (but not impossible) to move app icons to other screens.

Most everyone I have shown the case to were impressed by how nice the case looks and it’s ability to camouflage the iPad. I like the feel of the leather, the design of the stand feature, and the hard material in the leather makes it feel like it could really protect the iPad from harm while on the go.

  2. Bill Said,

This case would be great, IF it came as pictured on the website.. the case shows a secure strap at the top of the ipad that goes diagonally to secure the ipad from falling out..

The case you will get has a small stap that is so poorly postitioned in the left corner, that it barely covers the edge of the ipad and slips off often.

A poor design, or poor quality control..

Look for a different case if you dont’ want your ipad on the floor!

  3. Chris C. Said,

I’ll echo Jason’s review: the stylus that was promised didn’t arrive with the case. Is it forthcoming? Who knows. I would like the stylus…I have a couple of apps for which a stylus will be an asset.

Very elegant, nicely padded. Fits well and my cut outs seem just right. I think it fits snugly enough that I don’t worry the ipad will slip out so that’s not a concern.

It looks way better than the Apple case (which isn’t bad but which is definitely not classy).

Send me the stylus so I don’t have to buy one!! It was definitely promised!

  4. Jason Tallon Said,

There’s a lot to like about this case, but before I discuss that, let’s get the negatives out of the way.

Preordering the case promised a stylus with the order. No such stylus was evident in my shipment. Not a big deal. I doubt I’d have used it. But it would be nice to get what was advertised.

The next couple of issues may be specific to my case. The fit of the case is just slightly off. The top corner elastic band meant to keep the iPad in the case is too snug, or fastened at the wrong angle. It slips off the iPad, leaving nothing holding it in at the top. Hold it wrong and it might slide out. In addition, the iPad sits a fraction of an inch too far left in the case. The button is not centered in the cutout, and the left edge of the screen is under the edge of the case. Not by much, but just enough to be noticeable.

As for the good, it’s a sharp looking case. The leather is decent and detailed nicely. The cover folds over nicely behind the iPad when in use. And the covers have enough cushion to provide some protection. It’s not a slim or minimal case. It’s a professional looking portfolio that makes the iPad very book like. I really like what it almost was.

This has the potential to be a five star case, but with the fit and finish glitches, and the missing stylus, it’s a pedestrian three star item.
