Quality is really good, but design is very, very, very stupid! I assembled all the parts in the middle of my bedroom and hoped to move it to the corner, but later I found that based on their design, only it’s assembled, it just sat where it was! Too stupid! Now I can just sleep in the middle of my bedroom!
Besides, no screw holes in the perimeter bars, which make it very hard to assemble the final three bars.
Stupid design!

while purchase you turn out to be happy that you getting it at like 100 $ or something higher
now, be careful when it came to my place it was packed like a coffin … hehe
there were wooden cut pieces with markings to help identify which one goes where in the installation
its not an individual’s work, you need a helper to arrange
the nuts and bolts were not being set up correctly even after me sweating for an hour on it… (I was that eager to put it in place)
looks liek the incorrect nuts and bolts came with the piece
poor quality wood, the screws when hammerred used to have the wood misplaced around the wooden insert holes.
overall – not at all recommended

I absolutely do not recommend this product. I purchased the South Shore Platform bed, Black Onyx. The product arrived badly damaged. I believe the product arrived damaged because the materials used is cheap. Several of the side boards were cracked and broken completely in half. It was a pain to send such a huge item back but ordering through Amazon made it a breeze. Order at your own risk.

The South Shore Platform bed (Onyx Black) arrived today. It was easy enough to put together, despite my general lack of ability with these kinds of things. I did it alone in 50 minutes.
My only complaint is that it required no signature upon delivery. The FedEx guy apparently took this as meaning it was okay to just leave it in the middle of my driveway– quite literally the middle, despite the easily accessible, closed in porch with the neon sign asking for all packages to be brought inside. Looking out the window, I saw the FedEx delivery man push the box from inside his truck onto the pavement– shoving it from the back of his truck to the ground. The fact that no boards were broken is a testament, at least, to good packaging. I’ll do my best to avoid FedEx from now on.

My biggest complaint about this bed is that it’s pretty cheaply made. I guess I should expect that but I could have found a comparable metal frame for the same price that would be fine.
The directions are confusing, there are random pilot holes that don’t screw into anything. It’s also that compressed Saunder like wood. One light tug on the board and it comes right out, wood screw and all.
